 Land Acknowledgment

We acknowledge that Camp Taloali is located on the traditional lands of the Santiam Kalapuya, a band of the Kalapuya people who have cared for this region for countless generations. In 1855, through the Willamette Valley Treaty, the Kalapuya and other Indigenous peoples were forcibly removed and relocated to what are now the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde and the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians. Today, their descendants continue to sustain their cultures, languages, and communities.

We honor and recognize the enduring relationship that Indigenous peoples have with this land and express our respect for their resilience, sovereignty, and traditions. As we gather at Camp Taloali, we do so with humility, awareness, and a commitment to equity and justice.

We encourage our community to learn more about the Indigenous peoples of this region:

We have accommodations for you!

A Message From King Oso

Welcome to the 2025 edition of one of Blackspire’s oldest and most sacred traditions, the Northwest Pacific War!

This is a year of new momentum. We are on a new site, will see four new knights, and a new monarch as we continue momentum into our Winter reign.

I’m excited to enjoy all Amtgard has to offer with food, games, and art and sciences events with our amazing community, and I hope you are too!

See you at Pacwar!

Saint Oso, King of Blackspire
